If someone is moving toward you, instead of shooting straight on, shoot them low and and off to one side. Where you get hit and which way you're traveling is also important.The tank shells also have a lot of splash damage. You have to be quick though, and it can only affect the tank so much. I'm pushing toward the direction of the hit, trying reduce its impact, or to simply stay on the platform. Same thing if I'm hit and stay on the ground. When I get hit into the air, I'm using the direction keys for air control, and any available nitro to alter where and how I land. That's the only thing I can think of as to why there's a platform difference. So if you're on a mobile device, you might have difficulty doing that. I'm using a windows computer and a keyboard, which obviously allows you to press several buttons at once.
